Ford Mustang Facelift India Launch In Early 2018

What is possibly the most recognisable and most famous American car badge ever, the Ford Mustang, recently went through a major mid-life update. Unlike previous mid life updates on older generations, the new facelift Ford Mustang is quite a major change in terms of exterior and interior design. Of course, it also brings along a whole bunch of new and up-to-date technology in terms of infotainment and user interfaces.
As this was the first ever time Ford made a right hand drive Mustang in over 50 years of its existence, 2016 saw the long awaited launch of the muscle car in India too. Priced well at Rs 65 lakh, the Ford Mustang has been a hot seller for the American car manufacturer as a halo product. In fact, not only have a number of buyers bought themselves a Mustang, but almost every single car has undergone some sort of customisation including a few buyers option to install aftermarket exhausts and even superchargers. The new updated ford Mustang facelift though will be launched in India in early 2018 and will be available to customers for a similar price point.

The new Mustang though offers a more aggressive stance with the front bumper getting a set of new and extremely aggressive cuts and vents including one just under the headlamps. The new car also gets a boot spoiler and a new diffuser at the rear with a quad exhaust tip setup (as a hark back to some of the high powered Mustangs of the early 70s). The new car also gets a new set of split five spoke wheels apart from the standard BBS-esque multi spoke wheels.

The biggest improvement though will be on the interior front where the standard dual barrel gauge cluster has been replaced by a new LCD screen that not only offers a few versions in terms of display configurations but also the option of custom colour combinations that the owner can choose from. The new Mustang will also get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a slightly redesigned interior design with new interior upholstery options.
